About the event
The sacred spirit was moved into NAKAYAMA Shrine from IZUMO TAISHA in 857. This shrine is famous for matchmaking. There is a story that once a young man and a young woman passed by each other on the narrow approach to the shrine, and then they fell in love. The festival at NAKAYAMA Shrine is famous for HADAKA MATSURI, a naked festival. Also, KADOGAWA KAGURA is performed during the festival. There are many stalls on the street and the garden plant market is very popular.
